The Tektronix RF162 Down Converter is a rack-mounted instrument that is used as part of a system intended to extend the real time analysis capability of the 3052 Digital Spectrum Analyzer to the frequency range of RF and microwave spectrum analyzer.

The RF162 down-converts a 21.4 MHz (Opt.03: 321.4 MHz) IF to a 7.5 MHz IF that has a 5 MHz bandwidth. The RF162 does not have operating controls, nor does it operate under software control.
