Ahne Oosterhof (b. 1939-05-06 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands – d. 2022-12-30 in Hillsboro, OR) attended the Higher Technical School in Leeuwarden before being hired by Philips in Eindhoven.
He then went to work for Tektronix in Heerenveen.
In 1966, Ahne, along with his wife Sabien, immigrated to the U.S. with their 9 month old son Peter.
After he left Tektronix, he started his own business, A-Laser, which he eventually sold in 2005.
Oosterhof played a key role in the development of the 5000-series scopes, see Introduction to the 5000-Series Oscilloscopes: History and became the lead on the 5000 mainframes.
