The Tektronix P6406 is a 16-channel word recognizer probe for the 308 logic analyzer.
Input lead sets (same as for the P6451):
- 012-0747-00 - standard 10-wire 25 cm with pluggable probe tips
- 012-0655-01 - ten individual 40 cm leads
- 012-0655-02 - ten individual 8 cm leads
- 012-0670-00 - ten individual 16 cm leads
- 012-0800-00 - 10-wire 10 cm
The probe-side input connector is a standard .65 mm square pin header on a 0.2" (5.08 mm) pitch so it is also possible to use standard jumper wires with pins, sockets or clips on the other end for connecting inputs.
Internals
The 16 inputs connect (via 330 Ω resistors) to inputs of four 74LS266 quad exclusive-NOR gates that receive bit-inversion masks from two of three 74LS164 serial-in, parallel-out shift registers. The third shift register provides don't care masks (one per group of four inputs). After the logic circuits, a 74S140 cable driver sends the trigger signal to the 308.
