Tektronix part number 040-0686-01 is a modification kit for the 7313, 7603, 7613, 7623, 7623A, 7633 three-plugin 7000 series scopes to provide pushbutton illumination.
The modification kit provides +5 V to pin 9A of the plug-in connectors by means of a LM309K linear regulator sourced from the unregulated 9 V supply. Installation of the kit according to Tektronix requires a slight derating of the power supply and temperature range if the total +5 V and +5 V lamp currents exceed 1.5 A.
