The Tektronix P6038 is a sampling probe used by the 3S3 and 4S3 sampling plug-ins.

The P6038 contains a sampling gate made of four GaAs diodes that snap into place. It is similar to the S-3 probe.

Other than the sampling gate, the P6038 contains a toroidal common-mode choke to help balance the sampling pulses that come from the plug-in to the sampling gate.

There is no amplifier in the P6038.
