The Tektronix 141 is a PAL signal generator. There is also a 141A, and rackmount versions, the R141 and R141A.

When the development of the 521 vectorscope for the emerging European PAL system was underway no test signal was available, so a "test fixture" was developed to generate PAL color bars, linearity staircase and convergence signals, using the recently introduced RTL digital ICs. This fixture became the 141, and an NTSC version followed as the 140.
