The Tektronix 7A16A is a single channel, 225 MHz general-purpose vertical amplifier for 7000-series scopes. The 7A16A was introduced in 1973, superseding the all-discrete 7A16.

Tom Rousseau designed the 7A16A as a simple derivative from the 7A26, providing similar performance to the 7A16, but at a much lower cost. The 7A16 turret attenuator was very expensive to produce.

The 7A16P is GPIB-programmable variant for digitizing mainframes.
