The 12AX7 (European: ECC83) (P/N 154-043, 154-0043-00) is a dual triode vacuum tube with a B9A (Noval) miniature 9-pin base. The heaters of the two systems can be used in series (12 V, 0.15 A) or parallel (6.3 V, 0.3 A).
The 12AX7 is used in many Tektronix instruments, often as an error amplifier in the power supply, where the tube was chosen for its high gain.
The high-reliability version of the 12AX7 is the 6057 (E83CC). The 5751 is an improved successor.
