The Tektronix WaveStar software (WSTRO), was available until the early 2000s.

Functions included

  • Control instrument settings and measurements from the PC
  • Capture waveforms
  • Create, edit, and transfer telecommunication masks
  • Access, organize, move, and manipulate instrument files
  • Data log measurements from single or multiple instruments
  • Harmonic analysis on power waveforms

Tek provided a general use Full Edition key code after abandoning the software and moving it to a "free" and "unsupported" status.

WSTROU referred to an upgrade of WaveStar for Windows 3.1 to WaveStar Software for Oscilloscopes.

There was also a software WSTRM, WaveStar for Meters. info needed

The software required a National Instruments or CEC IEEE-488 Interface Card, an RS-232 port, or Ethernet port.

Supported instruments varied with version.

There have been reports of successful installation under Windows 11.

Note: Versions 2.x do not support the 2200/2400 series, 11400 series, CSA400 series or DSA600 series which seem to have only been supported by V1.0 – 1.3.
