WaveStar
The Tektronix WaveStar software (WSTRO), was available until the early 2000s.
Functions included
- Control instrument settings and measurements from the PC
- Capture waveforms
- Create, edit, and transfer telecommunication masks
- Access, organize, move, and manipulate instrument files
- Data log measurements from single or multiple instruments
- Harmonic analysis on power waveforms
Tek provided a general use Full Edition key code after abandoning the software and moving it to a "free" and "unsupported" status.
WSTROU referred to an upgrade of WaveStar for Windows 3.1 to WaveStar Software for Oscilloscopes.
There was also a software WSTRM, WaveStar for Meters. info needed
The software required a National Instruments or CEC IEEE-488 Interface Card, an RS-232 port, or Ethernet port.
Supported instruments varied with version.
There have been reports of successful installation under Windows 11.
