The Tektronix 172 is a "programmable test fixture" for the Type 576 curve tracer.
It is programmed with 016-0198-00 programming cards using 214-1633-00 programming pins. The fixture does not only set the test type and voltage or current drive range, but also overrides the deflection factors set on the 576.
