The Tektronix 2601 is the mainframe for the 2600 series. There is also a rackmount version, the R2601. Interconnection between plug-ins is accomplished with 0.040" pin tip connectors.
2600-series plug-ins are the same width and height as 7000-series plug-ins, but not as deep.
An adapter, the 013-0115-00, allows 2600-series plug-ins to be used in 7000-series mainframes.
