The Tektronix 4010 is a graphics terminal announced at the Fall Joint Computer Conference in October 1971, based on an 11" direct-view storage tube displaying vectors in 10-bit resolution (1024×780 visible).
It succeeded the 4002 model from 1969 and founded the very successful 4010 family that also includes the 11" 4012/4013 (1973) that added lowercase characters, the 19" 4014/4015 (1974), and the 25" 4016 (1979).
The 4010-1 variant includes circuitry that allows the stored image to be printed using a 4610 hard copy unit.
The E4010 and E4010-1 are cost-reduced ("economy") versions introduced in 1975. They omit the thumbwheel inputs only.
In later years, 4010-series commands were widely emulated in third-party products (then typically raster-based graphics terminals).
