Microprocessor support table
These tables describe the configurations necessary for support for specific microprocessors on Tektronix logic analyzers. The analyzers are listed in chronological order of introduction.
Those analyzers not providing any specific target support (i.e. connection, disassembly) are listed as a matter of chronology and convenience for the reader.
"N/A" means that the option is "Not Applicable" or "Not Available"; "?" means that no information has been found to date.
"Max" means that it supports the maximum speed for the processor.
Tektronix 7D01
- Introduced 1977
- No microprocessor support.
Sony/Tektronix 308 Data Analyzer
- Introduced 1980
- No microprocessor support
Tektronix 7D02
Note:
- The PM101 is a general purpose probe, it can be defined to work with processors not listed here.
- "FM" stands for Full mnemonic disassembly.
- "STD" stands for Standard radices (Hex, Bin, Octal).
- In production 1981-1984.

Tektronix 1240/1241
- In catalog 1984-1990
- All acquisition boards are the 18-channel 1240D2. The 9-channel 1240D1 cannot be used.
- The UPIK40 Universal Probe Interface Kit is a reconfigurable harness for use with 8-bit 40-pin DIP CPUs, and is used with the indicated P6460/P6462 probes, not instead of them.
- PM2XX pods must be configured to have the right adapter and jumper settings depending on the IC and its package.
- The "Option" designations in the catalogs remain confusing. The first series of ROM Packs (introduced in 1984) designated "12RM01" through "12RM71". For those 8-bit, 40-pin CPUs, the UPIK40 probe interface was used, while non-8-bit parts required a PM200-series probe. Beginning in 1987 new ROM Packs were introduced with the "12RM99 Option XX" designation (listed as 12RM99/XX in the table below). But there is overlap and conflict between those for 8-bit CPUs and those for 16-bit CPUs e.g. 12RM01 appears to refer to both 8080 and 8086 support (see: Tektronix 1987 catalog p.121). Work continues to sort this out.
- Pavel Korensky has released his design for a 1240/1241 ROM cartridge replacement called SuperPack, which contains battery-backed-up RAM and a 4Mbit FLASH chip. A DIP switch selects either the RAM or one of eight 64K byte FLASH blocks. The FLASH is 32p PLCC and must be programmed in a device programmer (i.e. not via ISP). Pavel also supplied tooling (Gerber and drill files) for a simple reproduction of the Tektronix cartridge, along with STL files for 3D-printing the cartridge case.
- TekWiki Complete indicates whether all of the "soft" resources necessary for this support (i.e. ROM images, documentation, software) are available here. "N" usually indicates that the ROM Cartridge documentation is missing, so that for target CPUs not requiring the use of a specific PM20x Personality Module, the (probe/channel) connection details for the target CPU may be unknown. Anyone having such documentation is asked to contribute it.

Tektronix DAS9200
- Introduced 1987.
- Delightfully, Tektronix referred to all of the components of the microprocessor support package (the software, the manual, and the probe adapter) by the same name. Software was delivered on 5 1/4" or 3 1/2" floppy.
- See the 1993 Tektronix catalog page 155-157 for the full list
