Early Tek CRTs typically had a designation of T<digit><digit>. Some early Tek CRTs were given an EIA designation. In 1959, there was a renaming of CRTs. The new 1959 format was T<digit><digit><digit>. In 1965, there was another renaming of CRTs. The new 1965 format was T<digit><digit><digit><digit>.
